Game Over - the beginning of the end

Tuesday August, 25th 2009

With 4 days left, I am ending my public financial journey however the REAL FUN now begins!

As you can probably guess I did NOT hit my goal of creating more passive income then my monthly expenses HOWEVER, this experiment is not a FALURE, in fact we are going to PUSH EVEN HARDER!

We’ve come so far!  We’ve learned so much and while I am no longer going to publicly post what we do to increase our passive income or decrease our expenses - I will be taking good notes about our actions for future products/sites!

If you want to be notified when new and exciting financial things happen, add your info

We paid off another expense last night (Amy’s Providian credit card), saving us another $50 per month and lowering the amount of daily passive income needed to get out of the rat race from $65 to $63.  Here are 2 screenshots, one before we paid it off, one after we paid it off (click to enlarge):

Once you’ve checked that out, take a look at when I first calculated our monthly expenses about 100 days ago, when we were up to $82 per day!  We’ve freed up about $600 in monthly bills!  When we purchase a multi-family building it will decrease our monthly expenses by $300 and increase our passive income by a couple hundred dollars a month!

So this is goodbye for now!  I hope you learned a lot!  I was completely open and honest with what we did and I caught a lot of hell from it - I hope you appreciated it!

Just know that I’ll be working harder, creating new ideas and making more passive income - I’m not one to sit around and ‘veg’ out.

Stop being like everyone else and don’t be afraid to yourself, people are always going to complain about whatever you do!

Your friend,
Ian Anderson

FYI: my 29th birthday is this Saturday (August 29th)!  Wish me a happy birthday!
